One of the most accessible glaciers in Kumaun region, Pindari is located at 3820m in Patti Malla Danpur of Bageshwar district. The Pindari glacier is 3 km. long and 0.25 km broad and is connected to the southwestern slope of the outer wall of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary. The main peaks near the glacier are Nandakot (6880m), Nandakhat (6611m), Pawalidwar (6663m), Baljuri (5922m) and Changuch (6322m).
The Kafni glacier lies towards the left of Pindari valley below Nandakot. The tranquility prevailing in this region has a special charm. This region is very rich in wildlife. There is no rest house beyond Dwali and one has to spend the night in tents or caves. The main peaks near the glacier are Nandakot (6860m) and Nand Bhanar (6104m). The route to Pindari and Kafni glacier is common up to Dwali.

Sunderdhunga Valley

Sunderdhunga means the valley of beautiful stones. The valley is situated to the west of Pindari valley. Maiktoli & Skhram are two Glaciers, and the main peaks are Tharkot (6100m), Mrigthuni (6856m), Maiktoli (6804) and Pawalidwar (6663m). The route to Sunderdhunga is the same up to Khati as in the trek to Pindari and Kafni.

Milam Glacier

Milam glacier is 27 km long – the biggest glacier in Kumaon Himalayas. Milam village, which lies near the glacier, is one of the highest villages in the Himalayan range located on the old trade route to Tibet.
Munsiyari, the base for this trek in Pithoragarh district of Kumaon, can be reached in one full day from Delhi either via Kathgodam or Tanakpur. Munsiyari is also the base for Ralam, Namik, Poting and Lilam glacier.
Munsiyari is on the arterial water body of the Gori-Ganga which emerges from the Milam glacier system of the eastern flanks of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary, fed also by the Kalabuland glacier and the Panchachuli from further east. The Milam glacier snout at 3872m is not only the objective of the trek route indicated but also the nodal point for a variety of high grade routes and peaks.
From Munsiyari the trek to Lilam is mostly downhill along the Gori-Ganga river. Enroute, Bugdiyar to Rikot is a thick forest area from where the land opens into the Gori-Ganga valley. After crossing the Gori-Ganga river and below Burfu village, one gets an uninterrupted view of Nanda Devi and Hardeol peaks right up to Milam glacier. The Milam glacier summit at 3872m is the nodal point for a different high grade route. The main peaks are Hardeol (7151m), Burphudhura (6215m), and Kalabulandhura (6215m).

Dodital Trek

Dodi Tal is situated at an elevation of 3024m, in north of Uttarkashi and is surrounded by dense woods of Oak, Pine, Deodar and Rhododendrons.
The Crystal Lake is full of rare fishes and the Himalayan Golden Trout. The trek to Dodi Tal commences from Uttarkashi to Sangam Chatti and is approachable by motor. Sangam Chatti to Agoda is a gradual climb through woods, fields and villages on mule track. The trek form Agoda to Dodi Tal is steep and through thick forests.

Valley of Flowers National Park

While on an expedition to Mt. Kamet, Frank S. Smith, an English mountaineer, explorer and botanist, discovered the valley of flowers. Bustling with beautiful, lively and vibrant colours, this park spread over an area of 85.50 sq km has the largest collection of wild flowers species. More than thousand varieties of flowers, ferns & Himalayan herbs grow in the valley, known as Nandankanan.
Legends associate this valley with the area from where Hanumanji of Ramayana collected “Sanjeevani Buti” herb to revive Lakshman. As though created by nature itself, the beauty of the park is enhanced by the Pushpawati River flowing in the vicinity overlooked by the towering Rataban Peak in the background.

Gangotri & Gomukh

The trekking route is filled with unexpected delights as the gorgeous and magnificent scenery unfolds itself with every step. A small stream, the Kedar Ganga meets the Bhagirathi at Gangotri. Across the stream are brilliant snow peaks, the Ganga Mandir, Brahma Shankaracharya and the mighty Shivling together known as Dev Ghat, from where flows crystal clear stream, called Dev Ganga.
Gaumukh is 19km north east of Gangotri. Gaumukh can be seen at the foot of Shivling (a striking un-scaled pinnacle of rock & ice). Forbiddingly beautiful, the awesome Shivling peak looms, 6,540m above the source of Ganga at the Gangotri Glacier. It evokes a mystical atmosphere descending from beyond the Chaukhamba cluster of snow peaks while three Bhagirathi peaks tower the Gaumukh springs as if these mountains were the embodiments of Shiva.
